1. Promoters

The Golden Seat Giveaway is jointly promoted by York Stage (the “Producer”) and Heritage Collection Travel (the “Travel Partner”). Together referred to as “the Promoters”.

This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or the Grand Opera House York.

 

2. Eligibility

2.1 Entry is open to all individuals attending any performance of Come From Away presented by York Stage at the Grand Opera House York during the applicable run.

2.2 Audience members are automatically entered into the giveaway by virtue of physically occupying a seat at an eligible performance. No additional action is required.

2.3 Eligibility is based on the individual physically seated in the selected seat at the time of the live announcement.

2.4 Entrants must be aged 18 or over at the time of travel.
If the selected seat occupant is under 18, the prize may be transferred to their parent or legal guardian.

2.5 Employees of York Stage, Heritage Collection Travel, and Grand Opera House York, along with their immediate family members or anyone professionally connected with the promotion, are not eligible to enter.

 

3. The Prize

3.1 The prize consists of:

• Return economy flights for two (2) people
• From London Gatwick Airport
• To St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada
• All applicable taxes and airline surcharges included

3.2 The prize is supplied by Heritage Collection Travel.

3.3 Travel must take place between June 2027 and October 2027.

3.4 Travel dates are subject to availability at the time of booking.

3.5 The prize does not include:

• Accommodation
• Transfers
• Travel insurance
• Passports or visas
• Spending money
• Meals unless included by the airline

3.6 It is the winner’s responsibility to ensure they hold valid passports, visas (if required), and adequate travel insurance.

3.7 There is no cash alternative and the prize is non-exchangeable.

 

4. Selection of the Golden Seat

4.1 One performance will be randomly pre-selected before the commencement of the show run.

4.2 At the pre-selected performance, one seat within the auditorium will be randomly selected as the “Golden Seat”.

4.3 The winning individual will be the person physically seated in the selected seat at the time of the live announcement.

4.4 The winner will be announced during the performance.

4.5 If the selected seat is unoccupied at the time of the announcement, a rollover will apply for another chosen performance.  

 

5. Booking and Redemption

5.1 To claim the prize please contact Heritage Collection Travel either in person at 8 Goodramgate, York, YO1 7LQ, by email michael@heritagecollectiontravel.co.uk or by phoning 01904 530142. 

5.2 The winner must book their travel by a date specified by Heritage Collection Travel following the announcement.

5.3 Travel is subject to airline availability and applicable booking conditions.

 

6. Publicity

6.1 By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to participate in reasonable publicity relating to the promotion.

6.2 The Promoters reserve the right to use the winner’s name, likeness, photographs and video footage for marketing, promotional and publicity purposes across digital, print and social media channels without additional compensation.

 

7. Force Majeure

7.1 The Promoters shall not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing their obligations where such failure or delay results from events beyond their reasonable control.

7.2 Such events include, but are not limited to:

• Airline cancellation
• Government restrictions
• Natural disasters
• Acts of terrorism
• Industrial action
• Pandemic or public health restrictions
• Venue closure
• Show cancellation

7.3 In such circumstances, the Promoters reserve the right to amend, substitute or withdraw the prize where necessary.

 

8. General

8.1 The Promoters reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions where necessary for legal or operational reasons.

8.2 The Promoters’ decision is final in all matters relating to the giveaway.

8.3 This promotion is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
