Set in 1968, the story follows Rita O’Grady and the women working at the Ford factory in Essex. When the female sewing machinists are suddenly downgraded and labelled as unskilled workers, Rita and her colleagues begin to question the system and soon find themselves leading a movement that would change history forever.
